French walnut guéridon with inlay and gilt mounts – 19th century.

Small round side table or guéridon, made of solid and veneered walnut. The top is decorated with a radial grain pattern and a circular reserve bordered by inlaid light-wood fillets. The frieze is richly carved with foliate motifs and a series of vertical panels. It rests on a turned central column carved with acanthus leaves, ending in a tripod base with curved legs and zoomorphic feet.

The base is enhanced with gilt metal mounts, probably brass, depicting palmettes and foliate motifs. The combination of marquetry, carving, zoomorphic feet, and gilt elements places the piece within the late 19th-century Historicist Neo-Renaissance taste.
