Gien - Coffee service (15) - Porcelain, Ceramic

For sale: a magnificent and rare coffee/tea service in fine faience from the prestigious Gien manufacture, bearing the famous décor “Renaissance fond blanc” — a sumptuous homage to the Italian Renaissance maiolicas.

A 100% authentic, hand-painted set:
Unlike industrial editions with printed decoration (transfer printing), this exceptional service produced between 1971 and 1984 stands out for its painting entirely carried out by hand by Gien’s master faïenciers.

All pieces bear the official mark of the manufactory at the château (with the inscription “Decor guaranteed inalterable - Firing at 1100° - Hand-painted”).

Notable detail for collectors: each cup and each saucer bears blue handwritten marks and letters on the back. These are the individual signatures of the painting artisans of the manufactory who shaped and decorated this unique set.

The service comprises 15 pieces:
1 Large round platter (diameter 25 cm)
1 Square platter / trivet (26 x 26 cm)
1 Ewer / water pot (height 25.5 cm — handle carefully restored)
1 Milk jug / cream pitcher (height 10 cm)
6 Cups and their 6 matching saucers

Condition: Very good overall for collectible pieces. Note: the handle of the ewer has undergone careful restoration.

An essential showcase piece for lovers of table art and French haute faïence.
