Europhon - Adriano Rampoldi - Table lamp (2) - Idea - ABS - [RARE]

[RARO] Beautiful pair of radio-lamps with integrated AM radio produced in the early 70s by the famous Europhon of Milan, based on a design by Adriano Rampoldi.

The lot represents a unique opportunity for collectors and interior designers. This is not a single piece, but a symmetrical pair (ideal as a bedside pair) presented in one of the rare color variants: chocolate hazelnut brown.

The cylindrical design blends atmospheric lighting with vintage electronics. The radio controls (power on, volume and Medium Wave tuning) are recessed into the base slot via two textured wheels.
The light, with two intensities, is adjusted with the two front-facing buttons; the half-light requires 30W bulbs. The radio, being AM, although functional, crackles and no longer picks up stations that are no longer transmitted on that frequency.

Conservation and aesthetic state:
Both lamps are in excellent overall aesthetic condition, as documented by the images. The ABS plastics are in good condition. Both show on the dome some signs typical of age and improper bulb usage; namely, exceeding 30W heats too much and can deform the ABS plastic. One shows a crack on the dome while the other shows fusion marks, but as you can see from the images they are perfectly functional and enjoyable.
The lower selectors are original and intact; one of the two has the plug that was replaced over time.
Attention: use bulbs max 30W and if using LED bulbs, verify they are dimmable, otherwise the courtesy light will not work.

A pair that is truly very beautiful and rare to find in these conditions and in this elegant and very rare color variant.

Missing one screw and the dual light needs to be checked, but the full light is functioning.
