This vintage W. Klein microscope, model number 12327, is made of metal, brass and enamel and has not been tested.
Description from the seller
For sale is a beautiful, historic light microscope from the long-standing opto-mechanical workshop W. Klein in Wetzlar – one of the most well-known historic centers for German optical precision.
The microscope is a real eye-catcher for collectors, science enthusiasts, or as an exquisite vintage decorative piece for the study or the display cabinet.
Details about the item:
• Manufacturer: W. Klein Wetzlar
• Serial number: No. 12327 (engraved on the tube)
• Version: Classic, heavy stand in elegant black and metal optics, round objective stage with original specimen clamps.
• Accessories: Two suitable accessories/eyepieces (see photo bottom left) included.
- Weight: 5.2 kg
Condition:
The microscope is in a very good optical condition for its age with charming patina that underscores the historic character. The mechanics move very smoothly. However, I would recommend light oiling again, as it has stood on the shelf for a long time. Since I cannot professionally verify the optical functionality in detail, the device is expressly sold as a collector's and enthusiast piece or as a decorative object.
