Lot of 4 pyrite pieces from the Brosso mine, Valchiusella. The pieces measure from 10 to 14 cm.

• Sample description: A magnificent, large collector's lot (pieces between 10 and 14 cm) composed of 4 highly aesthetic pyrite samples. The specimens show a very rich and extensive crystallization of luminous pyrite, with well-defined geometric shapes, gleaming faces, and a brilliant golden-bronze hue. In splendid contrast, on the iron matrix there are rust-colored oxidized patinas and small, clear quartz crystals that grow and align against the faces of the metallic crystals. A very decorative selection, with excellent visual impact and high historical-mineralogical interest.

• Brief locality description: The historic Brosso Mine, located in the characteristic setting of Valchiusella in Piedmont, is a mining site of extraordinary significance and international fame for collectors. Renowned since ancient times for its rich iron deposits, the area is considered one of Italy’s classic localities for the finding of spectacular sulfide and oxide crystallizations.
