About the maker:
Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo (1922-2010), known as Corneille, was cofounder of CoBrA, the group whose name abbreviates Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam. Birds, cats and female figures in bright colors became his signature. Pierre Restany (1930-2003), French art critic and advocate of Nouveau Réalisme, wrote this monograph in his year of death.
In the interior:
On a coffee table, in morning light, the opened book becomes the color field around which the room revolves.
