AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
This concerns an enamel advertising board from Michelin featuring the iconic mascot Bibendum (the Michelin Man). This specific horizontal design with dimensions 60 cm by 45 cm is a highly sought-after decorative and collectible object.
Characteristics of this board
• Design: Bibendum is depicted as he steps through two tires, with a smoking cigar in his mouth, which is characteristic of the historical Michelin design from the early to mid-20th century. The word MICHELIN appears prominently in white block letters on a contrasting red background.
• Material: Made from heavy enamel (porcelain on a thick steel plate) with pre-drilled mounting holes in the corners for easy installation. This material gives the board a distinctive deep gloss and a tangible relief on the layers.
• Application: Due to the striking yellow background and industrial look, this board is very popular as vintage wall decoration in garages, showrooms, workshops, and man caves.
