Description from the seller
Important Barocco Chester Divan of the Twentieth Century in Brown Leather with Carved and Gilded Structure
Elegant and important three-seater Chester sofa in Baroque style, dating from the 20th century, featuring a refined wood structure richly carved and gilded, paired with an elegant brown leather upholstery. The piece presents a wide, enveloping back with a curved and harmonious line, enriched by the classic button-tufted work with recessed buttons, which continues laterally along the generous padded and rounded arms, typical of the Chesterfield model.
Particularly scenographic are the front wooden uprights gilded, finely sculpted with elaborate volutes, scrolls, and relief foliage motifs, extending along the sides down to the curved feet. The lower trim is adorned with an elegant gold frame that follows the entire front profile, supported by central feet also decorated.
The seat consists of three wide, removable cushions upholstered in the same brown leather, while the frame profiles are finished with a distinctive border of decorative metal studs. The rear is also upholstered, a feature that makes the sofa suitable for placement in the center of a room.
The impressive proportions, the richness of the gilded carvings, and the refined contrast with the brown leather give this Barocco Chester a deeply elegant and scenographic character. A high-representation piece of furniture, perfect for prestigious salons, historic homes, professional studios, or classical environments of particular refinement, capable of enhancing any space with its imposing decorative presence.
