Ingap - Tin toy - Ingap - Statuetta giocattolo di latta - INGAP - Fortunello (Happy Hooligan) su Carretto con Asino - - 1930-1940 - Italy

Rare and fascinating vintage toy produced by the famous Italian company INGAP (Padova) in the 1930s. The piece, made of high-quality lithographed tinplate with meticulous details, depicts the popular comic book character Fortunello (known in the USA as Happy Hooligan) driving a cart pulled by a small donkey.
The original lithography is excellently preserved, glossy, and boasts vivid and bright colors. The item is in great original vintage condition ("All original") and has not undergone any restoration, thus keeping its full collector's value intact. It displays an authentic patina earned with time, with visible signs of wear such as small scratches, slight abrasions, and minor oxidation bloom that attest to its age and history. The original box is not included.
The wind-up mechanism is intact and complete; having been stored away for many years, it only requires standard oiling/lubrication to run at its best. When activated, the donkey moves forward with its characteristic motion, and the driver moves his arms to simulate driving.
