MOFEM - Lamp - Metal

A vintage Art Deco table lamp by the Hungarian metalworks manufacturer MOFEM (Mohácsi Fém- és Szerszámgyár), featuring an integrated mechanical clock housed within the lamp body, mounted on a solid marble base. MOFEM was an established Hungarian industrial manufacturer active through the early-to-mid twentieth century, and dual-function objects of this type — combining a working lamp with a mechanical clock — were produced as prestige household objects during the Art Deco interwar decades. The lamp is fully operational and produces working light. The clock alarm function is operational; however, the timekeeping mechanism does not keep accurate time and will require servicing by a qualified clock specialist before reliable timekeeping can be restored. Condition is graded Good: the piece is functional as a lamp and the alarm is working, but the clock movement requires servicing. The metal body shows surface marks and oxidation consistent with age, and the marble base shows wear consistent with decades of use. No repairs or restorations are recorded by the seller.
