Saucepan (4) - Copper, Brass

Wonderful set of four antique copper pots, of fine quality and notably heavy, bearing witness to robust craftsmanship meant to last.

Each piece features a thick copper body, paired with a long riveted solid brass handle, creating that warm and refined combination characteristic of the old French cookware sets.

The interiors are tin-lined, in keeping with the tradition of quality copper culinary utensils. The set shows a substantial and alluring patina of use, with cooking traces, superficial oxidation, color variations and old marks.

The pots have deliberately not been repolished in order to preserve their authentic character. A cleaning and polishing would naturally restore all the copper’s shine, but their current state possesses a particularly interesting decorative charm.
