Jacques Villeglé - Vacanze Romane [with dedication] - 2009

Very rare collectible art catalog enriched by an extraordinary dedication entirely drawn and signed in the master Jacques Villeglé's own hand (1926-2022).
The volume, published on the occasion of the historic exhibition "Vacanze romane" held in Rome (2009-2010), does not present a simple signature, but a real original graphic composition. The leading figure of Nouveau Realisme and the Affichistes miniated the names of the recipients ("Pour Roberto & Piero") using his famous "Socio-Political Alphabet".
Inside the dedication the graphic symbols that made his conceptual research on the guerrilla of urban signs iconic are clearly distinguishable:
• The circled A (symbol of Anarchy)
• The Peace Symbol (nuclear disarmament)
• The Euro symbol (€) replacing the letter E
• The Celtic Cross and modified arrows inserted into the geometric structure of the letters.
Conditions:
The volume is in generally excellent condition, fresh interior, pages perfectly secure, cover without tears or notable creases. The dedication in black ink is exceptionally sharp and vivid, with no fading. A unique piece that unites art publishing with the original hand of the French master.
