Elegant and magnificent table cruet set (cruet set / huilier-vinaigrier) in Neoclassical / Rococo style, dating from the late 19th century or early 20th century.
The metal framework features rich relief ornamentation with floral motifs, scrolls and cut relief, resting on four decorated feet and with a central worked handle. It accompanies the original complete set of 6 crystal-cut bottles intended for oil, vinegar, pepper, salt and condiments.
Marks and Punches:
- Assay Mark (Tremolierstich / Pintadeira): It shows the characteristic zigzag line in the metal, evidencing the manual test of metal content performed by the era’s tester.
- Master Silversmith and Manufacture Punches: Rectangular mark with the initials JE accompanied by a fleur-de-lis and an oval punch decorated with the initials SSD.
