AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Rare First Edition China ME-756 Anti-Aircraft Tank - Mid 1950s - With Original Box - Working
Offered for the collector of early tinplate Chinese toys: a beautiful, rare very first edition of the China ME-756 Anti-Aircraft Tank (AA tank). This rare early model was produced in China around the mid-1950s, battery operated, and comes with its original illustrated cardboard box.
This specimen is in visually beautiful vintage condition and features a unique, ingenious mechanism.
Condition:
• Visual: Stunning vintage condition with bright lithography. Minimal signs of aging. The original rubber tracks are in absolute top condition.
• Completeness: Fully complete. Delicate parts such as the plastic radar dish, the red headlight, and the little man that pops up from the hatch are all 100% intact.
• Battery compartment: Pristine! Absolutely no signs of old battery leakage or corrosion.
• Operation: All basic functions respond. The electric motor runs strongly. The radar spins, the man rises. Note!! Due to the very age (aging rubber wheels, limited grip) driving is very difficult (wheels slip). The hatches open and close sometimes reliably, sometimes not, causing the cannons to emit red light inconsistently!! See photos!
• Box: Includes the original early box. The box is complete with beautiful historical graphics and has only light, normal age-related wear on the edges.
A fantastic and authentic centerpiece from the early period of Chinese tin toy manufacturing. See the photos for an accurate personal impression, the last 11 photos show the tank in operation.
Carefully packaged and shipped with tracking!
