Mask of the Yaoure from the collection. Condition age-related cracks. Heavy wood.
The Yaure, an Akan-speaking people, are especially known for their impressive masks. Although they show elements of their neighbors, the Baule and Guro, they possess some characteristic features that make them particularly appealing. The most common of these features are the jagged edges around the face.
