Description from the seller
Important Venetian Double-Body Showcase in Lacquered Wood, Gold-Plated and Hand-Painted with Floral Decorations
Elegant double-body Venetian showcase in ivory-colored lacquered wood, enriched with refined hand-painted floral decorations and gold finishes, crafted according to traditional Venetian taste. The structure features sinuous and harmonious shapes, characterized by a prominent elaborately molded top crown, enhanced by gilded profiles, delicate multicolored floral motifs, and a distinctive central glass element with a serpentine line. The upper section consists of two wide glazed doors with shaped and gilded frames, allowing the interior of the cabinet to be admired, equipped with two wooden shelves and a large display compartment. The sides are elegantly decorated with floral compositions depicting flowers and leaves in vivid red, yellow, blue and green tones, accompanied by refined scroll motifs painted in bluish-gray hues. The lower part presents a characteristic bulging structure, typical of Venetian taste, with two scalloped upper drawers and two lower doors concealing spacious storage compartments. These elements are also richly decorated with hand-painted floral bouquets, framed by elegant ornamental scrolls and accentuated by slim gilded profiles. The curved legs with acanthus terminal curls complete the refined aesthetic of the furniture, imparting lightness and movement. The delicate ivory lacquer, the painted decorations, and the gilding create a particularly harmonious and dramatic overall effect. A display cabinet with great presence and decorative charm, ideal for elegant salons, classic living rooms, formal environments, or interiors inspired by Venetian tradition.
