Nightstand (2) - Wood

Pair of Portuguese mahogany bedside tables from the first half of the 20th century, made of solid wood with mahogany veneer, following revivalist models with Romantic inspiration.

Rectangular in shape, they feature molded, slightly raised tops, bodies framed by fluted pilasters and circular brass hardware. Each table has an upper drawer and a lower compartment closed by a door. The doors are cleverly decorated with two simulated drawer fronts, visually creating a composition of three stacked drawers.

The doors open in opposite directions, forming a symmetric pair suitable for placement on either side of the bed. They rest on carved bases, elevated on cabriole-inspired curved legs.

Dimensions of each table: 60 × 49 × 38 cm. Condition: Good overall condition, with signs of use and age.
