Description from the seller
GENERAL:
Located in Burgos, Spain, with Spanish registration, 93,087 km recorded and in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. The first-generation Porsche Boxster S (986 series) marked a historical turning point for Stuttgart. Originally launched in the mid-1990s under technical direction of Horst Marchart and with design signed by Harm Lagaay, the Boxster project financially saved Porsche thanks to the shared development of front-end components and interiors with the iconic 911 (996). The “S” variant, introduced in 2000, significantly raised the dynamic bar by mounting the 3.2-liter naturally aspirated boxer engine producing 252 HP in a mid-engine layout, paired to a six-speed gearbox inherited from the 996 and an upgraded braking system with four-piston red calipers derived from competition. This rear-wheel-drive two-seater roadster offers near-perfect weight distribution, an exceptionally low center of gravity, and legendary handling balance, becoming over the years a genuine contemporary classic revered by purists.
BODY AND PAINT:
The vehicle retains its original paint, with bodywork and undercarriage in perfect condition. The canvas roof has been replaced with a brand-new unit at an official dealership. As additional equipment and notable features, the car is equipped with original Porsche Turbo 18-inch wheels, a sports exhaust system with dual central outlets that enhances the characteristic sound of the boxer engine, and the factory-specific Aerokit Cup I aerodynamic kit for the 986 series.
MECHANICS:
The original six-cylinder boxer engine is fully operational and has undergone a complete inspection to certify its reliability and dynamic response. The car comes with its sealed official Porsche service book and supplementary maintenance invoices from official service, ready to be provided to the buyer.
INTERIOR:
The two-seat cabin remains entirely original, with upholstery and trims free from tears or fraying. It comes equipped with heated seats, automatic climate control, centralized locking operated by remote, and an anti-theft alarm system. The air conditioning system exhibits reduced thermal performance, so a gas recharge or routine circuit check would be advisable.
DOCUMENTATION:
The vehicle was imported to Spain from Germany in 2006, with regularized Spanish registration since then. It has a valid ITV (roadworthiness) until 2027 and all administrative documentation is up to date and ready for the ownership transfer process. It includes its two keys and the original user manuals.
PICKUP:
The car is safeguarded and protected in Burgos, Spain. The management and handling of transport or pickup are the responsibility of the buyer at the designated custody point.
OTHER INFORMATION:
There is full availability to subject the car to a detailed external technical inspection or a road test before the completion of the transaction, in order to verify firsthand its optimal functioning and driving behavior.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
