An old small Chokwe dance mask - DR Congo

This mask was not used as a face mask, but had a net made of plant fiber that covered the dancer's face. The dancer wore it on their head, thereby concealing their presence and drawing attention to this small mask, covered with a thick divinatory crust (chicken blood... generally!)
