Description from the seller

Pair of nightstands with mirrors and marble - Louis XVI style, around 1900.

Pair of nightstands in painted wood in ivory tone, with relief and gilded decoration in a neoclassical inspiration. Conceived in symmetry, they feature inverse arrangement of doors, drawers and elements of the façade.

Each table has a rectangular top in light marble with pinkish veining, two stacked drawers and a side compartment closed by a door. The lower part integrates a shelf with a marble slab, uniting the uprights and forming an open storage space.

The facades combine oval-shaped bevelled mirrors with small side shelves supported on consoles. Stepped architectural finishes, ornamented with volutes, flowers and gilded vegetal motifs. The doors and the upper panels feature oval recesses with diamond-pattern decoration, accompanied by raised garlands. Hanging metal handles and small turned feet with gilded decoration.

- Era: late 19th to early 20th century, about 1890–1910.
- Style: Louis XVI, revival interpretation.
- Origin: European.
- Materials: painted and gilded wood, marble, mirror and metal hardware.
- Dimensions of each table: 118 × 57 × 39 cm.
- Quantity: two pieces, forming a pair.

Condition: In good overall condition, they show wear and losses of paint and gilding and small faults compatible with age and use.
