The 685 (S1) is a highly regarded monitor bookshelf speaker from Bowers & Wilkins, which partially uses technology that was reserved for the more expensive 800 series. Thus the 25 mm aluminum dome tweeter is placed in a housing originally developed for the groundbreaking Nautilus speakers
For the mid and bass, the distinctive yellow Kevlar woofer with a diameter of 165 mm is used.
The woofer delivers surprisingly full and powerful bass for such a compact size.
At the front there is a bass port.
The speakers have impressive dynamics and a clear sound.
