This pair of Philips 22RH411/01Z speakers, manufactured in 1971, is in good physical condition and tested and working.
Description from the seller
The Philips 22RH411/01Z is a rarer variant of Philips’ classic passive vintage bookshelf speaker from the early 1970s (c. 1971).
The /01Z specification specifically denotes the 4-ohm version of this speaker (as opposed to the 8-ohm /00T variant).
Key specifications
Type: Passive full-range speaker (no built-in amplifier).
Impedance: 4 ohms.
Power: 10 watts.
Driver: Equipped with a single 5-inch (approx. 13 cm) full-range driver.
Frequency range: Approximately 60 to 16,000 Hz.
Enclosure: Wooden cabinet (often walnut finish) with an internal volume of 7 liters.
Dimensions: 250 x 350 x 185 mm or, depending on the factory, 190 x 260 x 190 mm.
Connection: Classic 2-pin DIN speaker connector.
What makes this speaker special?
Because the cabinet contains a single full-range driver, without a separate tweeter and woofer, it does not need an internal crossover. This gives it a very cohesive, warm sound, ideal for vintage amplifiers from the same period (such as the Philips RH series) or small-scale audio systems.
