Beautiful plastic chess pieces that were cast by hand and have then been finished by hand with a lot of detail. The chess pieces are a faithful reproduction of the original 15th-century Renaissance chess set. Each piece was weighted after its manufacture and felt has been put on the bottom of each one.

The chess pieces are from 1959, they are still in the original box and there is a booklet with an explanation about the game of chess in the Renaissance period.
The pieces vary in height; king 10 cm, queen 9 ½ cm, bishops and knights 8 ½ cm, rooks 3 cm and pawns 6 ½ cm. The pieces are all signed with E.S. Lowe

The original board is unfortunately no longer present but instead there is a beautiful wooden board that has been added, which in terms of the colour scheme fits well with the chess pieces.

The chess pieces are in good condition. Total weight approx. 3 kg A real collector's item.

The chess board will be sent by registered mail.
