YUKON ZOOMORPHIC MASK 
Yukon, Yupik, Southeast of Alaska, United States of America 
Wood, plant stems and pigments.  
Height :  36 cm (50 cm including the feather) ;  Width : 21 cm ;  Depth : 12,5 cm. 
Wear due to the age.  


Zoomorphic mask with double faces, presenting the characteristics of the marine fisherbird.  
In an oval shape, it is surrounded with two hoops made of curved plant stems, decorated with five feathers of seabirds.  
Entirely covered with white pigments, the red comes to reduce this dominant on two places :  
- the beak-spout.  Indeed, from its smile an open and pointy beak in relief emerges. 
- the circular surrounding of the eye-holes.  In fact, the cavities enabling the vision, are in a rounded form.
