Magnificent complete Intec collection of 41 (stone) ‘Gapers’. The firm Intec in Veenendaal (operations ceased) delivered to drugstores and pharmacies in the 1960s and handed these out to the latter exclusively. Each year, two to four models were issued and hand painted. The first forty were made of stone, only the last one (no. 41) was made of composite material. The latter weighs 750 grams, the rest between 1,800 and 2,000 grams. The heights vary between 16 and 20 cm, depending on their headgear (feather, hat etc.). The mould were destroyed by Intec itself. The ‘Gapers’ are in superb condition. One can find the occasional loose ‘Gaper’ for sale, but a complete collection is rare. Pick-up is preferred, though they can also be delivered after consultation.
