Full title: Commemoration of the completion of building projects on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the people’s republic in Beijing: 1958.10-1959.9

Published in 1959, this book was a gift from the Beijing Office for the National Anniversary to some of the work units responsible for the Ten Great Buildings. The completion of these monumental architectural projects in record-breaking time (Railway station, Parliament, national Museum etc) transformed Beijing into a modern capital city. This small-format book illustrates the nine Great Buildings that had been completed by the time of publication.
