Ancient and rare REMINGTON typewriter Model 10 S Serial LC 63131 dated 1926The typewriter is in good condition despite its age, it is really beautiful and works well. It is a fascinating piece of the early 20th century history. It belonged to one of my uncles who dabbled with this typewriter and liked to write tales, in the late 1920s.

Keyboard: French AZERTY keyboard, with 42 circled keys covered with a slide on a light backgroundThe keyboard consists of 84 signs/characters. 

The machine has a heavy cast iron frame half-covered by a metal sheet on the front side; the sides and back have uncovered windows.

Colour: glossy black

Year of production: 1926 (serial number 00 to 69.999) 

Manufacturer: Remington Typewriter Co. USA (Ilion - New York plant)
Dimensions: 37 cm x 39 cm (knob to knob), height 30 cm (to the sheet-holding guide with decal)  
Serial number: LC 63131 engraved on the right side of the frame - rear carriage guide. 
The two-tone tape needs to be replaced

It needs to be overhauled and cleaned up well if you want a really efficient typewriter.
