This Akai 4000 DB tape recorder plays perfectly! 
Also looks very good for his age of 45 years. 

Recorder is mechanically serviced so everything runs smoothly again.
Heads were cleaned and potentiometers were all checked for creaks and cleaned.
The tape recorder plays, fast forwards and rewinds and records. Also audio technically re-adjusted.

In short, a very special recorder in a beautiful and complete condition! 
The Capstan adapter for speed change is also included. 

This is one of the first tape recorders with DOLBY noise reduction, this also works of course.

EXTRA OBJECT: 2 aluminium reels, 1 of which are used tape. This is fine for listening to the music that is on it, but I recommend using new tape for new recordings. New tape is available on the internet. Recording on old tape of 25+ years usually gives a disappointing result.
