Plaque General Winkelman The Weapons Are Laid Down 14 May 1940
Plaque that was made because of the capitulation of the Netherlands after the German invasion in May 1940. It contains the image of General H.G. Winkelman, the Supreme Commander of the Army and Navy. On the left side of the plaque is a landscape with a piece of artillery. On the right, three aircraft in the air, with a warship below in the water.
