Batch two of the third and hotly anticipated instalment in Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series, So popular that Glenfiddich couldn't let it disappear – this is batch two of Winter Storm. The third entry in the Experimental Series, this sees the whisky finished in French-oak ice-wine casks from Canada, adding in layers of sweetness and spice, as well as a stack of candied fruit. 

This experiment was born when the distillery’s Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, became fascinated by the interplay between sugar and acidity in sweet wines. He brought back several casks from Peller Estate in Canada for his research, and discovered that this Glenfiddich 21 Year Old, which has more complexity and oak tannins than its younger siblings, was the best equipped to handle the extra layer of sweetness from the wine-cask finish.
