John Bolt

This fantastically beautiful bedside lamp from the former GDR is an absolute eye catcher. The bubble glass shade is similar to  Helena Tynell's famous lamps for Glashütte Limburg. Through the bubbles in the glass, the light is scattered and refracted in a variety of ways, creating a fantastic light effect. The Lamp was produced by VEB Leuchtenbau Kühnhaide in the 1960s and 70s


Construction
The lamp base consists of a metal bowl painted in gold. The Bakelite holder is mounted in a metal cylinder also anodized  in gold  . The shade is made of hand-blown bubble glass.

Diameter shade:                       17cm
Total height:                              19cm

Thelamp has a pressure switch on the foot. One E 14 to max. 40W each. LED bulbs can also be used (delivery without bulbs).

Condition:
The lamp is in very  good vintage condition (see photos for details). The electrical system is in original condition and has not been tested by a specialist.
