A very rare and very large antique (early 1900's) Wedgwood Tureen
This breathtakingly beautiful and very large tureen is still in excellent condition. It features a stunning classic natural theme with a floral pattern with vines and birds in rich cobalt, which contrasts beautifully with the white porcelain.
It is more than 100 years old, therefore there is fine crazing allover, creating a beautiful patina.
Also there are some slightly darker areas inside, see close ups.
There are some hairlines, however only right around the base of the pot, see pictures, they do not seem very deep.
Please also see for a reference of its very big size, the picture where it is pictured next to a standard size Villeroy & Boch Vieux Luxembourg tureen of 2700 ml. It is easily twice the size.
2 small chips, one on the rim of the pot (around 1 o'clock, see picture of pot without rim. Also one even minor chip at the inside of the lid. Please note that the pictures are enlarged to make them clearly visible.
