Description from the seller
GENERAL:
BMW Alpina B3 3.3 Allrad from the year 2002. The Alpina B3 3.3 (based on BMW’s E46 generation) features a 3.3-liter inline-six engine customized by Alpina, rated at 280 HP. The Allrad variant includes a four-wheel-drive system, making it a particularly rare and capable model. This unit is number 6 of a limited series of only 30 units produced. The vehicle was originally sold in Switzerland, has had 4 owners (including the current one) and was imported to Spain. It carries the manufacturer’s ALPINA Certificate of Authenticity detailing its serial number and the factory order dossier with all original optional extras. It currently shows an odometer reading of approximately 114,000 km. According to records from www.alpina-archive.com, in 08/2012 it registered 219,000 km, at which time the engine was overhauled and brakes and suspension were serviced at Frank Borchert in Stuhr (Germany), where it is believed the odometer was reset. The vehicle was subsequently purchased with an indicated mileage of 93,500 km. There are no accident records and the vehicle shows no signs of having suffered any.
BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The bodywork is in very good overall condition. The right front fender and the hood are in good condition, with no dents or scratches, though a fresh laquering is recommended to improve its shine. It is equipped with original 18-inch Alpina wheels, xenon headlights and tires replaced on all four wheels on 31/08/2025. The original incandescent rear lights were replaced with LED units to improve aesthetics, reliability and safety, although the original rear lights are also supplied.
MECHANICS:
Equipped with a 3.3L engine, four-wheel drive (4x4) and Switch-Tronic automatic transmission with steering wheel controls. On 10/01/2020 (at approximately 94,000 km) a complete automatic transmission overhaul was performed at a cost of €4,700 (with invoice), replacing the torque converter with a carbon-fiber unit and the friction discs with Kevlar. On 14/04/2023 (with 103,400 km) a mechanical service was carried out replacing engine oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter (with invoice). On 15/06/2023 the air conditioning system was repaired, replacing compressor, expansion valve, condenser, desiccant filter, gas charge, circuit cleaning and replacement of the main water inlet/outlet hoses to the cooling radiator (with invoice). Additionally, the vehicle is currently equipped with springs equivalent to original BMW parts manufactured in Germany to improve comfort and restore standard ride height, but the sale includes the H&R sport suspension springs set described in the technical sheet. The annual vehicle inspection (ITV) is currently valid.
INTERIOR:
The cabin features Alpina-specific interior trim, electric and heated front seats, climate control, disconnectable traction control, Alpina-specific GPS navigation, Alpina-specific instrument cluster, Harman/Kardon sound system and rear electric blinds. It retains and includes the original Alpina wood interior trim. On 07/08/2023 the rear door window regulators were repaired replacing the guides, and on 01/07/2024 the guides and electric motors were replaced again (both with invoices).

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
