AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The alms-dish under consideration, in hammered and repoussé brass, presents a series of concentric fields decorated with vegetal motifs and at the center a pinwheel, a decoration that can be found in many examples, including the one painted in The Apparition of Gregory the Great to Saint Fina by Domenico Ghirlandaio in the Collegiate Church of San Gimignano.
