Materiale pietra di diverso tipo. Pietra nera. pietra con venature e una più rara color marrone.

Provenienza Mali 

Il sito di Hombori risale al neolitico. Con questa pietra particolare viene fatta la gioielleria ed in particolare questi bracciali. Questa pietra è una sorta di gneiss nero più o meno venato di quarzo bianco.


Questi bracciali in specifico mostrano una grande patina d’uso all’interno.

I braccialetti venivano venduti ai Mossi e ai Gurunsi in Burkina Faso, e ai Tuareg e ai Dogon nella zona di Bandiagara in Mali.
Un detto tuareg dice ‘quand le bracelet casse, c’est que beaucoup de gens parlent mal de toi’. “Quando il braccialetto si rompe, significa che molte persone parlano male di te”
