Amrut Naarangi, meaning orange in Hindu, may be called an experimental expression as it incorporates some out-of-the-box thinking in the world of whisky.
Although the regulations prohibit anything to be added to the whisky, the strategy used by Amrut somehow manages to overcome this. Here is how they do it; First of all, the casks are filled with Oloroso Sherry. Orange peels are added to the sherry filled casks and left in for seasoning over a period of three years. At the end of this period, cask strength Amrut whisky that has already been matured for 3 to 4 years,  is put in these sherry/orange seasoned casks for a further maturation of three years. The result is Amrut Naarangi.
