Two antique giltwood console tables dating to the second–third quarters of the 18th century, in Louis XV style.
Description from the seller
Set of two gilded wooden console tables that were later polychromed to a cream color.
Bianca Carrara marble tops with contoured edges and a 'capped' back.
Supported by a Rocaille-form central leg.
The leg and friezes feature beautiful deep carving of Rocaille and shell motifs, with a central cartouche.
In structurally very good condition and ready to use.
Paint is flaking slightly; one marble slab had broken and has been neatly glued.
France, 2nd/3rd quarter of the 18th century, ca. 1750
Dimensions:
H = 90 cm.
W = 73 cm.
D = 34.5 cm.
Recently thoroughly checked for loose construction parts and veneer. No active woodworm found as of 12/3/2026
