Antique Silver Jewish Torah Yad (יד) – Poland, Late 19th / Early 20th Century 

This is a rare Jewish Torah Yad (pointer) from Poland, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Handcrafted in silver with intricate floral engravings and a suspension chain, it reflects the rich heritage of Eastern European Jewish ritual art.

Originally used to follow text during Torah readings, the Yad features the traditional form, though the pointing finger at the tip is broken, as shown in the photos.

	•	Material: 900 Silver (not hallmarked, typical of the region and time)
	•	Length: 28 cm 
	•	Condition: Good antique condition overall, with a broken tip; surface wear and patina consistent with age.
	•	Origin: Poland, c. 1890–1900

This piece remains a meaningful and authentic example of antique Judaica, even with its imperfections — ideal for collectors, educators, or restoration.
