VERY FRESH, MUCH BETTER THAN USUAL CONDITION.

This is an exclusive photobook auction by Anatole Desachy (France) and Ecki Heuser (Germany).
During the incredible period of troubles all around the world, we have selected 60 photobooks to remember that war is (not) over. 
This auction gathers works from the archive (Robert Capa, Stanley Greene and others) to our times (Gilles Peress, Kent Klich, Fouad Elkoury and many others) and it's a way for us to share about 'photographers at war' into photobook's history.

'KZ' ('Konzentrationslager'/'Concentration Camp') includes the famous and controversial photo of the Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel in Buchenwald (first published in the "New York Times" on May 6, 1945 with the caption "Crowded Bunks in the Prison Camp at Buchenwald" taken inside Block 56 by Private H. Miller of the 'Civil Affairs Branch of the U. S. Army Signal Corps on April 16, 1945.) 
The final images are of General Dwight Eisenhower witnessing the atrocious sights of Ohrdruf.'

Softcover. 220 x 270 mm. 32 pages. 44 black and white photographs. Various anonymous photographers. Text in German. 

Condition:
Inside very fresh and flawless; clean with no marks and with no foxing (often heavily used and often foxed). Outside quiet fresh with little trace of use only and light rubbing along the spine (often heavily used and with bigger defects). Overall very fine condition.

Extrem sensitive pamphlet - in much better than usual condition.
The photos were taken at 5 liberated camps: Buchenwald, Belsen, Gardelegen, Nordhausen and Ohrdruf and often show German civilians or SS men being forced to bury, move or view bodies.
