Antico mortaio con pestello - Italia, XVIII Secolo
Offro un raro e affascinante mortaio antico in bronzo massiccio, risalente presumibilmente al XVIII secolo e di probabile provenienza italiana (settentrionale). 
Caratteristiche principali:
Bronzo massiccio lavorato a mano, con una ricca patina originale acquisita nel corso dei secoli, testimone della sua autenticità e della sua età.
Presenta una forma robusta con una base circolare stabile e un corpo decorato con eleganti modanature concentriche. L'interno concavo è tipico per la macinazione e la preparazione di sostanze.
Misure del solo pestello: lunghezza 18.5 cm., diametro massimo 3.0 cm., peso 389 grammi.
La base presenta un foro centrale, probabilmente destinato al fissaggio del mortaio a un supporto o a una base per garantirne la stabilità durante l'uso. La patina all'interno del foro suggerisce che sia una caratteristica originale.
Il mortaio presenta alcune imperfezioni sul bordo superiore, che non ne compromettono la bellezza e ne attestano l'età e l'utilizzo nel corso del tempo, aggiungendo un tocco di autenticità e storia.
In buone condizioni generali per la sua età, con la presenza di una patina originale e segni del tempo coerenti con un oggetto di quasi tre secoli.
