You are bidding on a very fine and rare antique italian violin. The instrument is in ready to play condition with tears, wears but no cracks. The label says: Joseph Dall' Aglio fecit Mantuae anno 1838. 
The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The whole length of the violin is 594 mm and the back 355 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 159 mm; middle bouts: 112 mm; lower bouts: 199 mm. New boxwood set up and new strings. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power. Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions. Shipping worldwide insured!
