Sowohl EGDA (Etablissements Giacomo de Andreis S.A.) mit Sitz in Marseille / Frankreich als auch Markes & Co. warben bis in die 1940er Jahre mit der bekannten amerikanischen Zeichentrickfigur Betty Boop aus den US-Amerikanischen  Max-Fleischer-Cartoons der gleichnamigen Fleischer Studios, Inc., New York / USA.
