Haig Gold Label è un blended Scotch whisky storico, prodotto da John Haig & Co. Ltd. nella distilleria di Markinch, in Scozia. Le quattro bottiglie disponibili, tutte da 75 cl al 40% vol, risalgono con ogni probabilità alla fine degli anni Settanta o ai primi anni Ottanta, come indicano il sigillo fiscale cartaceo italiano ancora intatto e l’etichetta bilingue, caratteristica tipica delle versioni d’importazione di quel periodo. Sono state conservate sin dall’origine in una cantina buia e fresca, a circa 3 metri di profondità, condizione ideale per preservarne le caratteristiche nel tempo. L’aspetto delle bottiglie, compatto e sobrio, riflette la classicità del marchio, con lo stemma reale e i caratteri dorati che richiamano lo stile tradizionale dei blended scozzesi del dopoguerra.

Il contenuto, come tipico del Gold Label di quell’epoca, offre un profilo morbido e accessibile, con aromi delicati di malto, cereali tostati, leggere note affumicate e un finale pulito e asciutto. Più che semplici whisky, queste bottiglie rappresentano frammenti autentici della tradizione scozzese, ideali per collezionisti, amatori del whisky d’epoca o per chi desidera un distillato carico di storia.
