Dimitri André

Abstract figure "lagalagana" with sagittal crest, long hanging ear flaps, and delicately incised scarification along top of head and white pigmented face and ears. Traces of blue pigment on head. Dark brown patina with encrusted deposits. Wormwear loss on top of head, age cracks. Used for many varied purposes, as either oracle, healing figure, or ancestor worship and a link to tutelary spirits. ref. Vogel,
