Landscape with river. A beautiful large work by Hulk Jr. Gorgeous sky and the trees are very detailed. Also the reflections in the water are well captured. In very good condition with a beautiful gilded matching frame that is also in very good condition.

Biography:
Abraham Hulk junior was the son of Abraham Hulk senior (London, 1813-1897) and brother of Henrik and Willem Frederik Hulk. Like his father, he spent most of his life in England and made frequent trips to the Netherlands, where he worked in various places. In both countries, Abraham Hulk junior is regarded as one of the local painters.
He was born in London and lived and worked here and in Nottingham and in Dorking, (Surrey). His artistic peak was reached by Abraham Hulk jr. between 1876 and 1892. During this period he received much recognition at prestigious exhibitions such as the Royal Academy, where over the years he exhibited a total of 24 works. He also participated 15 times in the annual exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists.
