Traditional Dutch panel chest standing on  vertical styles with beautiful fluting ( cannelures) 
and ornaments. 
The ornamentation and style is Renaissance and 17th century, but because these chests are so traditional, it could very well have been made in the early 18th century. 
On the panels you see so-called 'carved' ornaments. 
They go back in much earlier times. 
Its use is common in folk art, specially in the northern part of the Netherlands, and  
and has its roots long before the 17th century. 
The oak wood has acquired a beautiful patina over time. 

Originally this piece of furniture only had a lid at the top to open. 
Later, perhaps in the 19th century, the front was fitted with hinges so that it could be opened without having to open the top lid. 
For practical reasons. 

H x W x D 65 x 125 x 50 cm.
Transportation: 
In the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, France and Spain we transport the furniture in packing blankets and store it indoors. The rest land on a wooden pallet in sturdy cardboard and splash-proof foil and delivered to the front door. 
We charge a higher rate for islands, delivery is to the door, please help because the driver is alone, the driver is not allowed inside or up the stairs.
The carrier will contact you to deliver.
