12mo bound in half-leather with corners, spine with 5 raised bands and gilt decoration, blue percaline boards preserved with a large gilt medallion representing an astronomical allegory (rare publisher's binding). Speckled edges, gilt top edge.
Condition: Binding sound, corners and spine ends slightly [to be specified: rubbed/good condition], interior with scattered foxing. Gilt cover clear and legible.
Dedication: beautiful autograph inscription signed by Camille Flammarion on the half-title page, legible and authentic manuscript.
A sought-after edition: the cardboard binding with the gold medallion is among the rarest and most spectacular presentations of Lumen, rarely offered on the market, especially with its autograph inscription by Camille Flammarion.
