Ils habitent au nord des Kuba,dans le Kasai occidental,la région de Oshwe,Bosango et Dekese.Le personnage,dans son maintien et dans la position de ses mains,symbolise l'autorité et le pouvoir. Il porte sur la tête le couvre-chef tronconique'LALEK', insigne de pouvoir reçu lors de son accession au statut de dignitaire.Il symbolise la sagesse et l'intelligence,la dignité et la considération.
