Belle et intrigante statuette du nord du Togo. C'est une oeuvre atypique avec beaucoup de personnalité. Le personnage semble illuminé, la bouche entrouverte. Son regard est plongé dans les mondes invisibles des esprits. Le corps est tendu, équilibré, ancré au sol. L'ensemble est dynamique et bien composé. Les volumes sont audacieux et inventif. Le sculpteur était investit, au sommet de son art lorsqu'il réalisa cette oeuvre. Le bois est oxydé tout comme les restes d'offrandes le recouvrant, c'est un objet ancien qui a vécu. Les pieds sont manquant. Fentes et accidents. Vendu en l'état, voir photos. Une belle pièce de collection ancienne et authentique. Circa 1950.
