Le 12 serigrafie del "Tango" sono state commissionate a Hugo Pratt e prodotte per conto degli Editori del Grifo, tra la fine del 1985 e l'inizio del 1986 in occasione della sua personale al Grand Palais di Parigi. 
Pratt ha seguito la lavorazione presso un pittore serigrafo di Roma e tutte le firme sono state apposte da Pratt di suo pugno in presenza dell'editore.
La tiratura è di 250 esemplari in numeri arabi e 50 in numeri romani; una ventina di copie stampate come riserva sono prove d’artista (P.A.)
L'esemplare in vendita fa parte appunto della tiratura P.A.
